It was another star-studded launch for Matthew Williamson last night as he celebrated his second collection for H&M in New York–on a boat. The designer was joined by models Helena Christensen and Bar Refaeli as well as actresses Lucy Liu and Mary-Kate Olsen at the party on The Majesty boat, which was docked at South Street Seaport in the Financial District. A-list guests were later treated to a special performance by singer Grace Jones.

‘Working with H&M has been such a wonderful experience,’ Williamson told Vogue.com. ‘It was a special treat to have Grace Jones perform for me and my friends. I hope everyone is as excited as I am for my collection to hit stores globally on May 14 - including my first ever designs for men,’ he added.

The White House has uploaded almost 300 photos of Barack Obama http://gawker.com/tag/barack-obama/’s first 100 days in office, in a Flickr gallery called, “Delivering on Change.” The photos themselves are pretty AWESOME. Obama even makes 3D look Chic. Talk about Transparency! http://www.flickr.com/photos/whitehouse/sets/72157617357737487/

Paz De La Huerta starts out with a major advantage… she has that pale soft flesh ”in the flesh” permanently 13 yr.old ”look” so when she runs around, smoking and near naked it can be a little disconcerting. Jim JARMUSCH is an edgy DIRECTOR /WRITER who has her totally unfettered by clothing in his new movie THE LIMITS OF CONTROL. THE CAST IS AHH…SHALL WE SAY ECLECTIC… mixing it up with GAEL GARCIA BERNAL, JOHN HURT, jim’s muse DSAAC DE BANKOLE, BILL MURRAY (SAY WHO?) HOW DID HE FIGURE IN THIS EQUATION AND THE MAGNIFICENT Antideluvian Goddess TILDA SWINTON…LET’S FACE IT TILDA DOES NOT LOOK LIKE ANYONE ELSE inhabiting THIS EARTH at this hour and she found a mad jester designer who could dress her properly last night at the premiere… GIANBATTISTA VALLI. GOD BLESS HIM!

At the tender age of 22, Camilla Belle has already driven a generation of young women to tears. Not with her acting, but rather with her involvement in an alleged offscreen love triangle, one spanning continents and dimensions! While dating a Jonas brother, Camilla was photographed leaving an L.A. café with Twilight vampire Robert Pattinson. Thumbs were broken Twittering the news. Not to mention the rumors that Camilla Belle and Fernando Verdasco are a new item (someone should tell Joe). When asked in GQ about the purported affair, Camilla offered “I know what I’m doing.” Say this for the girl: She knows how to keep us interested. Keep your eyes on this “Almost Famous” Brazilian/American beauty.

Discovered in the wake of the Strokes popularity and the subsequent garage rock revival, New York’s art punk trio the Yeah Yeah Yeahs are comprised of singer Karen O, guitarist Nicolas Zinner, and drummer Brian Chase. O met Chase at Ohio’s Oberlin College and met Zinner through friends after she transferred to NYU. Zinner and O formed the band in 2000; originally, they were a folky duo called Unitard, but they went electric after being inspired by Ohio’s legendary avant punk scene. After the drummer they recruited initially bowed out, Chase joined the lineup. The band has recorded three studio albums; the first, Fever to Tell http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fever_to_Tell, was released in 2003. The second, Show Your Bones http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Show_Your_Bones, was released in 2006 and was named the second best album of the year by NME http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NME. Their third studio album, It’s Blitz! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/It%27s_Blitz!, was released on March 31, 2009 in the USA and on April 6, 2009 in the rest of the world. It was recently announced that the Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ frontwoman has produced the music for the Spike Jonze adaptation of Where the Wild Things Are.

To MTV Karen revealed: “I got involved because of Spike- I guess there is a child like innocence about my music or my persona that he always just kind of dialled into.“So I guess he thought I should make music for Where the Wild Things Are and I assembled a group of mostly rock musicians to make the music including Nick and Brian (of Yeah Yeah Yeahs)” .

Kim K. knows how to create BUZZ. When Kim showed up in Soho in NYC this weekend with blonde-ish hair everyone wanted to get a closer look at her. Was it Beyonce or maybe Jennifer Lopez? People were clearly interested and not at all disappointed to find out it was LA reality star Kim Kardashian. But before the blogs got the opportunity to say that Kim was trying to keep up with Beyonce Kim Dropped an F-Bomb on all her haters!

“It’s a wig! Did I have you fooled?” she wrote on her Web site Monday. “I did a fabulous photo shoot this weekend and they put this hair piece on! And I never took it off. It’s making me want to dye my hair and maybe go lighter for the summer.” To make things more interesting Kim then showed up on the Morning show Mike and Juliet to promote her DVD “Fit in Your Jeans By Friday.” So despite popular opinion it’s clear Kim K. is an extremely hard worker. How many women do you know can do a few simple exercises (dressed in heels no less) and gain all this fame and attention (forget the sex tape for a second)? We predict that Kim’s DVD will be a top seller because if these “exercises” can gain other women her type of um mm “assets” it’s going to be a great summer indeed recession or not.

“Adopted children are luckiest because they were chosen.”
Christina Crawford
Most people at this point have heard about Sacha Baron Cohen new Movie Bruno which is about a flamboyantly gay Austrian fashion correspondent hoping to make it big in Hollywood. In the first bit of footage, Bruno has decided to achieve celebrity by adopting a black baby, and wants to feature the child in an avant-garde performance art project. The clips of “Bruno” pulling the child out of a FedEx box at the baggage check is really over the top FUNNY! Sacha is really a cutting edge genius because Hollywood has been pulling this trick for years and it’s time to look at this trend with a more “discriminating” eye. I mean let’s be real Angelina Jolie is wonderful and conscience about international issues and generous with her love and the like but come on before the adoptions she was not that much different from Megan Fox and Brad Pitt’s image was about as deep as a peanut butter cup. It’s just interesting to note that some adoptions really do change the lives of both the child and the way we look at the celebrity but as history has proven these arrangement don’t always end up shall we say…for the best…especially in Hollywood. Here is a gallery of some people who may not be laughing too hard at Bruno’s take on the Hollywood trend of image rehabilitation.

What looked like a fair fight between four strong contenders for number one this weekend ended up a lopsided bruising by the Beyoncé Knowles thriller Obsessed, which raked in an estimated $28.5 million and left the competition behind in a bloody heap. Now many of you may be wondering how Obsessed managed to kill box office winners like Jamie Foxx, Zac Efron and Robert Downey Jr.??? The answer is that Beyonce understands how to promote her BRAND! Not only did she hit every media outlet known to man but she did so dressed liked the Hollywood superstar that she is. Rule number one is know your audience. Despite a widespread critical drubbing Obsessed clearly tapped into a female-driven audience blood lusting for some schlocky, cat fighting fun. Expect Beyonce’s tour to also break records as she lands in Croatia ready to set it off in a historic Fashion!
