Why does Nick Cannon always look like he is about to go lay hands or preach at some ghetto church?

Better yet who exactly is Nick Cannon’s tailor?

And is it us or was it written into Nick Cannon’s marriage contract that whenever escorting Mariah (anywhere) he must look like a cross between Cab Calloway and Dick Tracy’s Big Boy Caprice?

Now to be fair Nick’s “style” has “improved” because when left to his own devices he looked like someone on stuck in the 90’s and this was in 2007 kids.

I guess it’s a lesser of evils and maybe in this rare instance Mariah really does know best. You decide.

Will & Jada are on the top of Hollywood’s A-List but as parents they could take a few lessons from The Obama’s. Willa and Jaden are more Hollywood than the Jackson 5 were and they don’t have any hits records on Billboard. Children need to be children but these two apparently did not get the memo. Have we learned nothing from Willa Wonka or E True Hollywood stories when it comes to overindulged brats? Well let’s just hope the Obama’s share some of their tips on child rearing and age appropriate dressing before these kids self destruct before they even reach their tweens. SMH

Shimmying down the blue carpet in a silver Roland Mouret dress, the film’s female lead Zoe Saldana burned brighter than a Super Nova. After 14 years incubating in director James Cameron’s brain and years of production on sound stages and within the most sophisticated computers money could buy, “Avatar,” the once-ultra-secret project known as “Project 800,” finally premiered to an enraptured and appreciative London crowd.

It’s On with Alexa Chung has been canceled after just two seasons on the air. London mourned the loss of one of their favorite style icons when Chung moved to Williamsburg after accepting the gig, and it remains unknown whether she will move back.

But there is a bright side: After the finale airs on December 17, MTV will have an open time slot for Jersey Shore reruns, after-shows, and spinoffs, airings of which there might never be enough.

What a joyous holiday season this is turning out to be for models. Not only are they tall, thin, beautiful, and blemish-free, but they are having babies left and right. Yesterday we learned that Gisele gave birth, and today British Vogue reports that 19-year-old model Jourdan Dunn had her baby! Dunn gave birth to a boy on Tuesday afternoon, so her son and Gisele’s son could have either been born on the same day, or just hours apart. Those kids should set up Skype accounts and become best friends in honor of the coincidence, seriously. Dunn had her kid with her boyfriend of five years. She walked the runway at seven months pregnant for Jean Paul Gaultier’s show. Her agency hasn’t said whether she’ll walk the shows again in February, but a rep says, “Jourdan is really well and super happy.” She heads home from the hospital today.

In a world where reality “stars” are “stars” just because they are on TV, the notion of actually being born famous has taken on new and dangerous implications. The children of celebrities are now treated like their famous parents just because. And today it does not really matter how obscure said celebrity parents are. Now kids with names like Jermajesty and Jaffar (Jermaine Jackson sons pictured here), and Quincy Brown ( Al. B Sure’s son, and Diddy’s Step son, also pictured) are all poised to annoy us in years to come. Let’s just hope these wonderful children provide us with as much entertainment than the Ryan and Tatum O’Neal have over the years. This is not going to end well folks but at least it will be entertaining.

“You can’t stand there,” an ear-pieced security guy said when the Bagger paused for a quarter of a millisecond by Madonna’s booth at the after-party for “A Single Man” on Sunday night.

The film, directed by Tom Ford, the designer responsible for all the low-riding pants and sexed-up hair of the early 1990s, drew major luminaries: in addition to the cast — Colin Firth, Julianne Moore and Nicholas Hoult — Anna Wintour ,Ellen Barkin, Rita Wilson, Kevin Bacon, Gina Gershon, Lou Reed and Laurie Anderson, Courtney Love and her friend Michael Stipe — almost all of them in black, sexed up the Cinema Society screening at the Museum of Modern Art. GQ Magazine recently reported that rap’s new chosen one Drake was redefining how rappers looked and in effect he is singularly responsible for the killing of “Gangsta Rap”.

Well it remains to be seen if this is actually true, GQ is not exactly an authority on Hip Hop but Drake’s rise to fame is really extraordinary.

Drake is as clean cut as one gets and he’s been nominated for Grammy awards before his CD has even come out. Every big name in the music industry wants to work with him and his CD is the most anticipated in 2010.

And who can argue with a million dollar smile. Hypebeast or not he’s much easier on the eyes than Lil Wayne. Let’s hope this type of change endures. At least visually. Yes, we know this may seem shallow but fashion and looks matters folk. We’d much rather look good than look at Lil Wayne.
