Oliver Spencer goes French MOD

One of the most exciting British designers Oliver Spencer has been inspired by French Mod, which sits perfectly with the soft tailored approach we’re used to seeing from the label. Spencer’s new inspiration gave everything in this show a sophisticated casualness, whether in the form of light cotton outerwear (complete with reversed buttons), shirts, well cut trousers, fine knitwear, proper suiting in linen or wool/cotton blends and that most essential of Summer items, shorts.

Spencer’s shoe range (which he is vey well known for) looks to have been expanded for the next season with a couple of new styles (toe capped Derby shoe and I also noticed a loafer) alongside well known pieces like his suede chukka boots. Also spotted were a couple of rather nice backpacks that came down the catwalk, showing that the brand keeps on expanding into other areas and delivering new product lines. Keep your eye on Spencer this summer for that international flair.
