BETSEY RECEIVES THE NATIONAL ARTS CLUB’S MEDAL OF HONOR
October 15th, 2009 by Hotel Fashionland received Comments OffBuilt in 1840 originally the TILDEN MANSION, Charles De Kay founded the NATIONAL ARTS CLUB in 1898 and filled it with extraordinary arts and antiques. ALDON JAMES President of the NATIONAL ARTS CLUB, BETSEY JOHNSON, CHANTAL BACON, MARYLOU LUTHER, MATTHEW SETTLE, BETSEY’S daughter LULU, and DIANNE BERNHARD all celebrating. To quote… “BETSEY’S showroom is one half “ALICE IN WONDERLAND” and one half “”DANGEROUS LIASONS”, when asked “What was your favorite HALLOWEEN costume, BETSEY?””When I came down the runway in my show as a skeleton.” This party was so packed, it was like they invited 300 expected 150 and 300 came and brought a guest!
