Elle Fanning, Diane Kruger, January Jones, Rose Byrne, Alexa Chung, Jessica Pare, and Drum Roll… the newly wed but solo Blake Lively.  At that, the rain stopped for the smooth as silk or satin fit for a siren’s entrance!

Originally unveiled by Gabrielle Chanel, Chanel launched 80 uber high end show pieces inspired by Chanel’s 1932 imagination.

Stunning Diane Kruger was the first to score a look from the Spring 2013 collection.

Jessica Pare recalled the timeless seduction of Jane Birkin’s European allure.

Elle Fanning glowed mysteriously in black velvet Chanel dress.

Alexa Chung showed off an elegant cream embroidered dress from the 2013 resort collection.

In 1932, Coco Chanel started a jewelry revolution. Up until then, the designer had shown costume pieces worn with her clothing.

But at her exhibit in Paris, “Bijoux de Diamants,” she debuted Chanel’s first fine jewelry: diamonds set in platinum. And she eschewed the usual jeweler trays in favor of wax busts.

To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the exhibit, Chanel has created a new collection of diamonds, pink sapphires, pearls and more, called the 1932 Collection. (Above Erin OConnor, Below: Linda Evangelista)

Though the gorgeous high-end baubles aren’t on display to the public—Chanel built a giant dome outside the Museum of Modern Art in New York to house the display starting next week. -Elle.com
