Being a magazine editor in this harsh economic climate is not turning out to be a “happy time”. The Golden Age of Magazine publishing has come and gone kids. Budgets are being cut along with magazine pages and cushy glamorous jobs. But being an editor with a name is even harder to accomplish. Anna Wintour, Gradon Carter, and David Remnick are some of the most established names at both Conde Nast and in the publishing world but what about Jim Nelson? Jim Nelson is the diminutive EIC of GQ.


Jimmy does not exactly command attention to the untrained eye but that does not take away his power or his influence. Jim has been building his profile in recent years and we have taken notice.
