Hip Hop loves gimmicks and with the success of Odd Future’s counter culture approach to Hip Hop older rappers like Lil Wayne have caught on to the sub-culture. Lil Wayne loves to re-invent himself. Remember when Weezy became a ROCK star complete with a guitar he could not play? Well now Wayne fashions himself as a “Gnarley” Skate dude.
Weezy is so committed to this concept that he even brings his skate boards out on STAGE with him to drive home the point. Do you buy this image change or is Lil Wayne joining the long list of rappers who are masquerading as Terry Kennedy wannabe’s. Can’t wait to see Weezy at the X-Games… SWAG!
