Now that is a Show!

Designers can be as creative as they want on the runway but RAIN on the Runway????

Burberry’s chief creative officer, Christopher Bailey, made it rain on the (INDOOR) runway for the finale of the Burberry Prorsum show, sending his models down the slick catwalk wearing transparent hooded ponchos and “Splashing all the front-row types, who had to pull up their knees”.

The New York Times also noted that Bailey’s use of the “elements” called to mind the horror of a character Mink Stole played in John Waters’s “Desperate Living.” “You know I hate nature!” she shrieked to her housekeeper, who had made the error of driving the family Mercedes through a Baltimore park. BRILLIANT!

At Moncler Gamme Bleu, Thom Browne’s penchant for showmanship nearly overshadowed a fall and winter collection inspired by the sports of hunting and horseback riding. Unfortunately for Tom you cannot orchestrate Beagles the way you do humans.

But Tom wins on STYLE points alone, regardless this was one hell of a presentation! Now try and top that Ralphie!
