Rihanna’s American Vogue cover! “The Wait is OVA!”

That Rihanna REIGN Just won’t let up! Rihanna has officially arrived because you know how the saying goes….. “Until you have an American VOGUE cover you really don’t exist in fashion.” The read is that until you snag an American Vogue cover you really don’t exist to Anna Wintour.
Just for a little context, Do you remember when Oprah Winfrey got the call that Anna was interested in having her on the cover with the condition that she lose 20 pounds?
Well suffice it to say Oprah lost the weight and then became the first African-American celebrity to land on the cover of Vogue, and that was in the October 1998 issue. Rihanna did not have to shed a pound, and is the youngest girl of color to win this honor.
I guess Rihanna was right when she sang…”It’s just the way the game is played It’s best if YOU just wait your turn”.
